Configurational Assessment

Step 1: Identify and Define the Context

Please think of the most recent complex task or decision you handled.

  • This should be a situation that required interpretation, judgment, adaptation, or balancing multiple factors.
  • Commit to this specific task/decision before moving to Step 2.

Step 2: Anchor Your Responses to the Situation

All your answers must be based exclusively on that specific task or decision.

  • Do not answer based on your general habits, typical behavior, or personality.
  • Focus precisely on what you actually did, perceived, or decided in that particular context.

Step 3: Complete the Six CIAS Facets

You will now respond to the six facets of the Contextual Intricacies Analysis Scale (CIAS).

  • For each facet, rate the statements as they specifically applied to your chosen situation.
  • Important: There are no right or wrong answers. The goal is simply to capture how you navigated the contextual intricacies of that task or decision.
